This is the measured data behind the Phayan study Thai Place Names in English. The question, the counting rules and the predicted values were fixed before the first file was fetched, and every number in the article resolves to a row in the evidence ledger.
| Frame | What it holds | Rows |
|---|---|---|
| E | OpenStreetMap objects in Thailand carrying a Thai name, an English name and a link to a Wikidata item that has its own Thai and English names | 1 364, of which 721 are comparable |
| W | Thai headwords carrying both a Paiboon and a Royal Institute romanisation | 17 274 |
Each row carries the two forms side by side, the kind of difference between them, and the Thai features that were declared before the measurement. The two frames sit in one file, told apart by a frame column.
| File | What it is |
|---|---|
| dataset.json | The measurements, one object per sample. 18 638 rows. |
| dataset.csv | The same rows in a spreadsheet-friendly form, one column per measured field. |
| metadata.json | Where each frame came from, which instrument version read it, and the counts per group. |
| preregistration.md | The question, the method, the predicted values and the counting rules, fixed before the first measurement, with the amendments recorded in the order they were made. |
| LICENCE.txt | The terms, which differ between the two frames. |
The two frames do not carry the same licence, because their inputs do not. The place frame is a substantial extract of OpenStreetMap and is offered under the Open Database License, with attribution to OpenStreetMap contributors. The word frame is an extract of the Thai section of English Wiktionary, published in machine-readable form by kaikki.org, and is offered under CC BY-SA 4.0, with attribution to Wiktionary contributors.
No contributor is named. The count of distinct last editors behind each share is published; the account identifiers and the user names behind it are not, and no per-row hash of them was written anywhere.
